PDF is the standard format for sharing documents that need to look the same on every device — a format that preserves layout, fonts, and images regardless of what software or operating system the recipient uses. Converting images to PDF is one of the most common document preparation tasks: you have scanned pages, photos of documents, or image exports from various tools, and you need to combine them into a single, shareable, printable PDF file.
The most common use — combining multiple images into one PDF:
When you scan a multi-page document on a phone camera or scanner, each page saves as a separate image file. Sending 12 separate JPEG files as a document is inconvenient and unprofessional. Converting them all into a single PDF gives you a file that opens cleanly, can be printed correctly, and is easy to share, attach, and archive. This tool lets you upload multiple images, arrange them in the order you want the pages to appear, and download a single PDF with each image on its own page.
Government portal and application submissions in India:
Most Indian government portals, university application systems, and job application platforms require documents in PDF format. Bank statements, salary slips, identity documents, property papers, certificates, and mark sheets all need to be uploaded as PDFs. If you have these documents as scanned images or phone camera photos, converting them to PDF before uploading is the required step. The Passport Seva portal, EPFO, NPS, income tax filings, and dozens of state-level application systems all work with PDF. This tool converts your image files to PDF directly in the browser without involving any third-party server.
Product documentation and e-commerce:
Sellers on Amazon, Flipkart, and other platforms sometimes need to submit product images, certifications, or documentation as PDF files. Converting your product images to a PDF is faster and simpler than using a dedicated PDF editor.
Creating a photo album or portfolio PDF:
Converting a series of photos into a multi-page PDF creates a simple, portable portfolio that can be shared by email, WhatsApp, or Google Drive and viewed correctly on any device without any special app. Each photo appears on its own page at the full width of the document.
Converting JPG to PDF vs PNG to PDF:
This tool accepts both JPEG and PNG as input. JPEG photos produce smaller PDF files because JPEG data is already compressed. PNG images — especially those with transparent backgrounds — may produce larger PDF files but preserve full image quality without any lossy compression. For general document submission, JPEG input produces the most practical PDF size. For design assets and graphics where transparency matters within the PDF context, PNG is the better input format.
How to Convert an Image to PDF — Step by Step
Step 1 — Upload your images Drag and drop your JPG, PNG, or WebP images onto the upload area, or click Browse Images to select from your device. Multiple images are supported in a single upload.
Step 2 — Reorder if needed After uploading, drag and drop the images in the list to rearrange them. The order in the list is the order they will appear as pages in the PDF. Add more images at any point using the Add More Images button.
Step 3 — Choose your settings
Page Size: Fit to Image creates a PDF where each page is exactly the size of the image — no white space around it. A4 and Letter are standard document sizes used for printing and official submissions.
Orientation: Portrait for vertical images, Landscape for horizontal or wide images.
Margin: No margin places the image edge to edge on the page. Small margin (10mm) adds breathing room, which is standard for most printed documents.
Save as individual PDFs: Check this to download each image as its own PDF file instead of merging them all into one.
Step 4 — Convert and download Click Convert to PDF. The PDF downloads automatically to your device.
Page size and layout options:
Choose from standard page sizes including A4 (the standard for India and most of the world), US Letter, and others. Set the image to fill the full page or fit it within margins. For document scans meant to be printed or formally submitted, full-page layout at A4 size is typically the right choice. For photo portfolios or presentation PDFs, adding margins creates a cleaner framing effect.
